During the past month of April – recognized as the Month for Occupational Safety and Health – a collaboration between Makstil and Eko Fluid led to the implementation of specialized trainings focused on ecological and safe management of motor waste oil.
The first training session was held on April 25 at the Steel Plant, and the second on April 29 at the Rolling Mill.
The goals of these specialized training sessions were:
- Raising awareness about the harm caused by improper handling of waste motor oils and grease.
- Promoting responsible and sustainable management practices.
- Empowering participants to actively contribute to environmental protection.
- Encouraging the reduction of new oil usage through reuse and recycling of motor waste oil generated during regular work processes.
With the new legal regulations on the import and management of motor oils and grease taking effect from January 1, 2024, Makstil has become an active part of the recycling system in this area. In support of this process, Eko Fluid donated equipment for the collection and proper handling of motor waste oil, significantly contributing to the efficiency and sustainability of operations.
We thank all participants for their dedication and active engagement in this important step toward a more ecological and sustainable future.
